What happens when society “puts the pussy on a pedestal.”

oh great woman, hear my prayer, how about a bit of nookie tonight?

After over a hundred years of “women’s rights” we are reaching the inevitable endgame of presupposing that one sex has been downtrodden and mistreated by the evil “other” for all time. You may immediately assume that I am referring to radical feminism, and while those harpies sure are loopy, they are the fringe dwellers that exist on the outer reaches screeching their hatreds in a mostly ineffective manner. Oh sure, every once in a while over human history the extremists get their hands on the power, but it’s not as if one of their lesbian ilk is running for high office or something.

I prefer to look at what is happening in the mainstream. What is being taught in schools, in universities, in the workplace, at home, and in the congregations. Schools are by and large now dominated by the government, so the prevailing brainwashing will be that which is trendy for the day. Universities have been completely subverted by radical Marxist demagogues so they do not offer a clear overall picture. The workplace is a very mixed bag, ranging from companies believing in “diversity training” and the like to no-nonsense businesses who wouldn’t put up with that crap in a pink fit. The home is for many a last safe bastion so it is difficult to surmise what is happening there.

But the Church is interesting. You may not think it relevant because you no longer go to Church, but many people still do, and what is being spoken from the pulpit is largely autonomous from the interference of government and the lunatic fringe. Indeed, in Australia the Catholic Church has been under sustained attack from the progressive left for over two generations now. So it is a particularly valuable social barometer of our time.

Over the last week in this corner of the blogosphere, a number of articles have surfaced that have drawn my steely eye to this topic. Rollo posted an article with the title, Losing my religion:

For the past five generations, there has been a concerted re-engineering of religion (and not just limited to Christianity) to better suit the ends of the Feminine Imperative. Just as men are sold the idealism of the old set of books while living within the social context that confounds them, religion has been coopted by the feminine. The old books religion has either been replaced wholesale by a feminine-interpreted, feminine-directed religion that places women as its highest authority, or it’s been restructured and rewritten to serve the same feminine-primary objectives.

You may scoff and retort that the vast majority of people pontificating from the pulpit are men so how could this be possible true?

I expect there will be female critics who’ll cite that, in most of church culture, it’s still predominantly men who control churches and religious organizations, but in the era of feminine social primacy, it’s not who executes the control, but whose beliefs control the executors.

So what exactly is he talking about here?

Church culture is now openly hostile towards any expression of conventional masculinity that doesn’t directly benefit women and actively conditions men to be serviceable, gender-loathing Betas. The feminist narrative of “toxic masculinity” has entirely replaced any semblance of what traditional masculinity or manhood once was to the church. Any hint of a masculinity not entirely beholden to a now feminine-primary purpose is not only feared, but shamed with feminine-interpreted aspersions of faith.

If you haven’t stumbled across the term “toxic masculinity” before, it is any male behavior that the feminine imperative deems unacceptable to its interests. And its interest is the primacy of women over men. This is an unbalance that was not the case a hundred years ago. Back then the two sexes were in balance, no matter what people may say today. But if all human beings are sinners under God, how then can the Church possibly equate what is going on here with its fundamental and core teachings?

The answer to that is an almost complete realigning of the bible’s teaching. While men are still abject sinners in the eyes of the Lord, they are also now abject sinners in the eyes of women. The Church now believes that women are magical celestial beings who are almost incapable of failure. The only “sin” which women can now suffer is a lack of self esteem:

According to our modern thought process women are innately good, so if they have the confidence to be true to themselves they will point men towards virtue.  Instead of looking to God for our moral compass, women are to follow their hearts and men are to follow women.  These ideas are contrary to the Bible, yet they have been widely adopted by modern Christians.

Funny; I thought it was Eve who got tempted by the nasty snake.

Part of the problem is that we have redefined women’s sins as virtue.  A wife who smashes the couple’s wedding china in order to get her own way is now said to be “submitting” to her husband by throwing a godly tantrum.  A wife with a frigid and incredibly unkind attitude towards her husband is said to be channeling God’s will through her vagina.  Discontent is yet another newly minted virtue.  Along with sins recast as virtues, there is also virtue recast as sin.  The CBMW’s founding document created a new sin for wives which fits perfectly in our feminist age, the sin of servility.

Another part of the problem is that when women do sin, modern Christians simply pretend it isn’t happening.  This is easiest to see with the game of make believe complementarians play whenever considering the question of women in the military.  Women aren’t demanding to usurp men’s roles, they tell us, men are refusing to fight and thereby forcing women to stand in their place.

And yet the Church continues to wonder why men are leaving in droves. If we now return to ponder the family home this information may give us an inkling of what is going on. With dysfunctional teaching such as this the only outcome can be a dysfunctional family unit. The modern day Church simply cherry picks parts of the bible that further its present-day trends while blithely ignoring all other contradictory teachings.

The very idea that women are almost sinless creatures that possess innate qualities of perfection that are only hampered by the evil patriarchy is beyond laughable in the face of all available evidence. But this is the Church’s method of telling men to Shut Up! and listen to their female betters. Instead of the Church being a beacon for all men and women to follow, now the onus is on men to follow the beacon of women. Quite what the Church’s role in this is hard to qualify, given that if women are the pure power then it stands to reason that there is no need for a Church. Jesus could have come down from heaven and just said to everyone to do everything that Mary said because she’s got it all, baby.

Which is simply ludicrous. This is what happens when you have a hundred years of putting the pussy on a pedestal. The Church has traditionally controlled the mating rituals of its flock, but with the tacit understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of both sexes. But somewhere along the line it has been coopted, both by the feminist imperative and more tragically by pathetic excuses for men who figured that the best way to get laid was to tell women that they are the bestest things in the whole wide world.

H/T Vox Day.

I have not been to church for years, but I find the ordination of women both absurd and ridiculous. Were I still a believer, I should add invalid and blasphemous.

I’ve seen it happen – I also saw the congregation chuck her out. If the men start bitching to her boss, they will listen.

The church has traditionally had their own direct access to a man’s labor. Tithing, Hell and damnation if you don’t give to the church, what have you. Now that women control a man’s labor the church is appealing to them to deliver the gelt.

As long as the kine who tread the grain don’t have their mouths bound they’ll continue. They just don’t want to hear about their status as a beast of burden.

    1. Good point but I do think that it’s more than that. It’s one thing to get the gelt. It’s another thing entirely to begin assuming that half the human race are essentially sinless. Particularly when your entire business is based on sin.

I would recommend “The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church” by Malachi Martin. Martin was a somewhat controversial former Jesuit. This book covers the historical precedents set for secular power by the church and the shift into liberation theology in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Since leftists don’t believe their side can sin, and since many woman tend or lean left, it’s axiomatic that they cannot sin. It’s about power not the spirit IMO.

As Catholicism goes, so goes the other Christian churches for the most part.

  4. Unfortunately, I’m not sure that most of the church realizes that ‘men are leaving in droves’ or if they realize that, they don’t see it as an all-hands-on-deck emergency… They certainly, in my experience, don’t wonder why it is happening. People always talk about how to make the church more appealing for women, and somehow don’t look around and see that their church is already almost only women.

      1. That is an amusing thought, though most churches have plunged so far into the prevailing culture that the very idea of men leading women into the church (and then actually leading once inside the church) would probably cause fainting spells…

“Australian Catholic Church” is Irish, and was always under the WASP boot. We certainly too readily adopted American rubbish like psychoanalysis and Alinsky’s “Civil Rights” fads from our American Irish brothers in the 60s. Followed by the “gay” culture, and now “alt-right” which has nothing to do with our British traditions and culture. If you want to be a social-media globalist and get lots of US visitors to your site that;s your business, but don’t just pretend Australia’s unique traditions don’t exist if you couldn’t be bothered knowing about them. “Oversexed, overpaid and over here” as we discovered during the last war. Americans are sex-mad adulterers, like Clinton. We don’t need this. Leave Australia out of your plans to Americanise the world.
