Teachers are now afraid of the ideologues that they have created.

Goya painted this on his dining room wall. Christmas lunch must have been a blast.

The painting is Goya’s depiction of Saturn eating his son. From Infogalactic:

According to Roman myth (inspired by the original Greek myth), it had been foretold that one of the sons of Saturn would overthrow him, just as he had overthrown his father, Caelus. To prevent this, Saturn ate his children moments after each was born.

In other words, destroy what you create before it destroys you.

It seems that some college professors are beginning to be alarmed at what they have created:

I teach at Reed. I am intimidated by these students. I am scared to teach courses on race, gender, or sexuality, or even texts that bring these issues up in any way—and I am a gay mixed-race woman. There is a serious problem here and at other [selective liberal arts colleges], and I’m at a loss as to how to begin to address it, especially since many of these students don’t believe in either historicity or objective facts. (They denounce the latter as being a tool of the white cisheteropatriarchy.)

That damn white cisheteropatriarchy! I wonder where these awful students even got these unpronounceable words? Of course we know where they got them – from teachers such as this idiot woman. Sorry, this gay mixed-race idiot woman.

The very fact that she is teaching courses on race, gender, and sexuality is why she and her colleagues now have this problem. If you do your very best to form and warp young minds in your putrid ideologies, do not then be surprised when the students supplant the teachers.

It would be nice if the students were to remain forever behind the university gates, locked in there for eternity with their misbegotten teachers. But unfortunately they are being let loose on the world for the rest of us to deal with. My recent post on the attempts to co-opt the whitewater community by hordes of SJWs received a number of commentators who are dripping with propaganda that teachers such as this one have brainwashed them with. Take this comment that I received yesterday:

Instead of anger at this article, can you prove that you work to incorporate diversity into your outdoor activities? There are people of color around us everywhere, even in the most segregated White regions of the USA. Do you work to bridge that gap in your personal life? This country was founded to be a mixing bowl for culture. How do you share your culture and experience the culture of others??

As I wrote in my scathing reply, this is simply breathtaking in its arrogance. These people are ideologues and there is nothing more dangerous in the world than this. Hundreds of millions of people died in the 20th century because of ideology. These teachers should well feel afraid. But they should also feel deeply responsible and ashamed. They have created this mess but it will not be on their hands to clean it up. We can only hope that the cleansing process will not in any way resemble something that would have been painted by Goya.

  1. “can you prove that you work to incorporate diversity into your outdoor activities?” Now that hits the funny bone. Yes I have tried, and not a single other person will go with me. I am proud to say I have zero diversity in my outdoor activities. Unless you count the animals.

One of your commenters mentioned the Kern River, it’s got some wild Class V runs. The whole southern Sierra Nevada snowpack pretty much feeds just that river.

The monsters are turning on their creators, what a pity. It sounds like they need more pitchforks.

    • Adam

There are a bunch of rivers that I’d love to paddle in the US and it sounds like the Kern needs to be added to that list.

      • If you ever do the Kern drop a line I’ll lend you a Range Rover to get around in the mountains. I’ll even provide the one that doesn’t need it’s own shaman along. Pull cones huh? That I’d like to see.

  2. john smith

The novel Frankenstein comes to mind. Beware what you create. There are areas of knowledge man should not learn.

The electronics revolution will go down in history as the worst thing ever to happen to mankind. Think hard about that statement. I doubt it can be refuted.

  3. Sjonnar

    Holy fuck that comment.

More and more, I am impressed by your elocution, Adam. The sheer effrontery of that question, the presumption that not only must one “work to incorporate diversity” into one’s activities but that one must then “prove” to the social justice police that one does so, would render me completely incoherent.

Even now, I am unable to properly express the depth of the contempt I have for this silly bitch and her noisome ideology. If nothing else in the world could convince me that that ideology of worshiping “diversity” needed to be excised from civilized society, along with all its wretched adherents, that comment would do it.

    • Adam

Let’s just say that I took my own sweet time to reply and I got up a couple of times to stretch my legs and kill the rage.

  4. do i sense some ace of spades inspiration from that picture ?

    • Adam

Ha, no, I lifted it from the comments in the thread that I linked.

  5. Adam, would you share your response here? I’ve made my twin high school aged boys very red pill aware and they see convergence everywhere. I wouldn’t mind using it to add to their war chest. One day in Social Studies, their teacher asked the students to name one thing that might be considered the worst thing that happened in US history. Without blinking an eye one of sons responded- we gave women the right the vote. He was only 12 at the time.

    • Adam

Geez, what a great response. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall in that class. It’s close but I would have to say the 1965 Immigration Act. Although you could argue that giving women the vote resulted in that act and then your son would be clearly in front. Tough one. Which of the two would you prefer to roll back immediately today? I think the answer to that is the correct answer.

      • After I stopped laughing so hard, I asked him what the response was. Mind you, the teacher was a black, female, Obama loving liberal (who happens to be teaching in DoDDS school on a military base). He stated that she along with all the other girls (and some boys) sucked all the air out of the room while the rest of the boys yelled “yes” in agreement.

I would agree that the Immigration Act of ’65 is also one of the worst as well given it’s agreeably long-term detrimental effects on the US.

Having defended my country for 23 years, I’d prefer to nuke the Immigration Act as it is eating us alive from inside out.
