Gentleman adventurer

Our quiet rage.

Steve Kates over at Catallaxy files brought my attention to a correspondence between Aldous Huxley and George Orwell concerning Orwell’s publication of his novel 1984. Huxley wrote,

My own belief is that the ruling oligarchy will find less arduous and wasteful ways of governing and of satisfying its lust for power, and these ways will resemble those which I described in Brave New World …

Within the next generation I believe that the world’s rulers will discover that infant conditioning and narco-hypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging and kicking them into obedience.

I find his prescience in this matter somewhat disturbing. Then today I picked up on a conversation that Ann Barnhardt overheard at a restaurant between some ‘champagne communists’ as she describes them.

The Swiss law professor went on a rant about how “deeply engrained” the scourge of Nationalism is in the human mind, citing Switzerland as his example …  If the Swiss all still have this deep Nationalistic pride and identity, imagine how much harder it will be to purge Nationalism from the Germans, or, THE FRENCH!

The fag then began to hold forth on how much appreciated the presentation of the Swiss guy, particularly the tactic of “Law By Stealth”, and how well that concept “fits in with our project”.

When the Fag started talking about how all “private law” is really just a subset of the “imperial governmental” paradigm, and cited ICANN as his example, the Swiss came right out and said that the only possible model is total global control of all trade and businesses. Global Fascism.

The Swiss then, in the context of Apple, assured the table that with regards to human rights, “they only do it for the public perception”.  The point being, since Apple is “omnipotent”, they are their own regulator, and they decide what their human rights regulations will be.

The Swiss said, “The solution to all of this is to separate.  We must make our own state.”  At this, the Jew piped up and said, “So, the “Two State Solution?” At which the table again ERUPTED into uproarious laughter. That was the biggest laugh of the night, by far.

She also has part 2 and part 3 to come out soon.

Does this make you mad or does it just make you weary? The human naked lust for power and its associated control never seems to weaken with each successive generation. We assume that the human condition is always making progress and yet we seem to be one step away from the precipice. In light of this I am now convinced, if I were not convinced before, that our university systems are simply giant structures of indoctrination and thought control that demand that students give up their future wealth for the privilege of being happily brainwashed into submission. And all funded by the taxpayer which means that even if you do not step foot in a university you are still part of the enabling process.

Democracy has been largely reduced to the sham of ‘what’s in it for me’ as politicians bribe us with our own money at election time. When elected they slowly suffocate us with an endless stream of rules and regulations, the end result being that everyone is guilty of something all of the time. If they don’t like what you’re saying there is no need for them to whisk you off to a camp for the messy business of torture. No, they simply destroy your livelihood or wealth with an obscure law that you unknowingly broke along with every one of your fellow citizens. Your fellow guilty but not accused compatriots will be forthright in their condemnation of you as you are publicly ruined, Pewdiepie style.

Since the US election I have cautioned people not to get over exuberant. Are you sick of winning yet? Indeed, we have not really won anything, a minor skirmish perhaps. Trump knows what he is up against, the entire apparatus of the state is arrayed against him along with their cohorts in the media.

We the little people observe from the sidelines, largely impotent except for our little vote every four years. And even then they find ways around it as we witness the ongoing battles over Brexit. Scenes that are similar to previous EU referendums where the wrong result was overturned by further voting until the good citizens got the idea.

The forty five year battle against the communism of the Soviet Union was really just a battle against ourselves and it turns out that we largely lost. The Soviet model, as those of other outright communist countries, were doomed to failure precisely because the populace knew that it was being ground underfoot. But here in the West we have been ground down with treats and candy and so not only do we have no idea of our predicament but we gladly participate in our own demise. We proudly proclaim our freedoms as we beg our rulers to take them away from us.

We are inheritors of noble houses and yet we have forgotten that with which we have been entrusted. Worse we have been bribed by baubles and fancies and a soft life as the worm-tongues amongst us have slyly wreaked their havoc. They hold us with contempt. They mock us for believing their ridiculous falsehoods. They deplore our easy acquiescence as they destroy our science, our cultures, our religion, and our nations. They look down on us not from pride but because they have reason to. And this is the saddest realization of all.

What hope remains when nearly all are unseeing and when even those that are aware soon give themselves over to that which would be their tyrant? The writers of The Matrix had it right and then one became a transvestite. He became his own character, Cypher. He epitomizes our great dilemma. It is all too easy to be lost for only then are you not alone.

457 Visas – The Trump effect.

Stop blaming the Boomers.

  1. I never worry about the suburban Marxists. They sow the seeds of their own destruction, because they never really thought it through. The like to think they’re the smart set, but in reality they’re about as bright as a net full of sardines.

Sure they’re indoctrinating people in the schools and what have you, but what will they be left with? A huge yawning mass of people clamoring to be fed, clothed, and housed. Not people who can produce the things they have promised. Even Marx knew this. One aspect of his system, that was constantly hand waved through, was that capitalism is required to provide the means of production. Once that’s gone who is left to provide the means? The assumption is stasis will set in and the means will last forever. Woops.

  2. ..,they slowly suffocate us with an endless stream of rules and regulations, the end result being that everyone is guilty of something all of the time…

Sounds like the Catholic Church too.

One of the reasons I stopped going. I’m considered a heathen now but I’m comfortable with that

  3. John Ricketts

“.. politicians bribe us with our own money..”

    Brilliant, Adam. Brilliant.
