Is it time for me to commence litigation against Jordan Peterson?

It’s not often that my jaw hits the keyboard when perusing the interebs, but last night said affliction pounced on yours truly like a jungle cat on meth.

Jordan Peterson launches $1.5 million defamation suit.

University of Toronto Professor Jordan Peterson has launched a $1.5-million defamation suit against Wilfrid Laurier University, two of its professors and a former gender and equity manager for suggesting he was analogous to Adolf Hitler.

The statement of claim, prepared by lawyer Howard Levitt and filed Monday, says Peterson was falsely labelled as incompetent, sexist, misogynist, dangerous and racist in a now infamous disciplinary meeting with Wilfrid Laurier University teaching assistant Lindsay Shepherd.

“So I think this is a warning, let’s say, to other careless administrators and professors who allow their ideological presuppositions to get the best of them to be a bit more careful with what they say and do,” he said.

Oh, really?

You see, it’s strange but the language that Peterson is suing over in a pompous way is earily similar to some language that was publicly, (not privately behind closed doors), used against me a couple of months ago. Now who might have done that I wonder?

Could it be Jordan Peterson perhaps? Is that Jordan in da house?

Peterson was labelled as incompetent, sexist, misogynist, dangerous and racist. For which he is seeking 1.5 million clams.

Yet he labelled me as being a misogynist, antisemitic ideologue. (I’ll take the right wing stuff with pride.)

Maybe good old Jordie needs to be a little careful with his own language, hmmm?

Any lawyers out there who want to get involved can have at it. And the university that is being sued by Jordan can feel free to use this against him into the bargain.

Because all’s fair in war.

  1. I really regret my decision to buy Jordan Peterson’s book. Read 2-3 chapters and then forgot about it. Never trust academics/journalists/politicians/bureaucrats/lawyers/etc. Especially never trust psychiatrists or psychologists, they are nothing but a sophisticated version of the quacks we have in our villages in India. Never trust anyone who calls himself or has pretensions of an intellectual. Never trust an activist. All of these people have nothing but too much time on their hands. Just do your work, workout in the gym and f and forget about it.

  2. Ragman,

Very interesting article. One thing he doesn’t mention is whether or not this ruling applies only to states or to entities within the state. One of the issues that I have seen mentioned in discussion regarding taxing the internet is whether businesses would have to comply with the tax regimen of every state, county, or city where a customer resides. For those outside the US, any subdivision can levy local taxes and this could cause businesses to potentially have to keep track of literally thousands of different tax rates and filings, not only to do the paperwork but to figure out how much to charge an individual customer. Easy for Amazon maybe, not so much for a small business doing a few thousand in sales.

It’s time for you to commence posting links and hot chicks and forget that useless freak.

It’s Friday for Chrissakes. I’m so bored I started reading your second book again.

You should do so because ‘the good wife’ can then get the 500 year old oak floorboards. My engineered wood floorboards were about £10 /sq.m on sale and self installed. They look fine, but sometimes I wish I had bought something more expensive and harder wearing.

  6. Heck, just testify against him in his defamation lawsuit.

Vox Day has already denounced him, and did it well. JBP has admitted to not being on the right.

Get him to lose, or get him to alienate the right. Either way you win.
