The Friday hawt chicks & links returns after a short hiatus brought about by overwork on the part of your own humble collector of interesting tidbits and natural beauty. We might skip a week here and there, but the hawt chicks & links is there for you when the going gets rough. This is the final weekend that precedes the US election, an election which I have not dedicated very much space to in the hallowed pages of this minor corner of the internet.
What has surprised me though in this election cycle is the behavior of the dark forces arrayed against the world and epitomized by the Democrats. Call me naive, but I had expected them to learn somewhat from their disastrous result in the last election; to come at this battle with new and improved tactics in order to stymie the assault to their nefarious plans headed by Trump. Instead, they have seemingly learned nothing. Once again they march into the hail of machine gun fire in straight rows, confident that their last defeat was a minor aberration brought about by defective healing crystals sold to them by their Chinese overlords.
Trump will win and win handily. But the Democrats and their Soros-backed Allies have not been planning for an election victory. Rather, they have put all of their energy into combating an election defeat and thus to seize power in a post election coup which will allow them to rewrite that pesky constitution which has been such a thorn in their side. The riots that occurred over the summer were but a test case in order to hone their tactics and sniff the air as to the public reaction. They will pump their foot soldiers with inflated hopes of a deserved Democrat victory, all the while knowing that such a conventional victory is not on the cards. Flush with bitter disappointment, in the days and weeks after the election their tattooed and blue haired cannon fodder will wind themselves up into a frenzied state of anarchy.
And the world will watch and hold its breath.
Carl Gustav Carus (German, 1789-1869), “Roman Cloister”
Painting was a sideline hobby for Carus who was a noted doctor, naturalist and scientist back when science meant something. He specialized in landscape paintings, particularly of the natural beauty of Southern Germany. In this painting, the hint of green through an arch opening provides a contrasting softness to the brutality of the man made cloister, accentuated in the tumble of worked stone bricks in the foreground.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò this week penned a second open letter to president Trump.
A global plan called the Great Reset is underway. Its architect is a global élite that wants to subdue all of humanity, imposing coercive measures with which to drastically limit individual freedoms and those of entire populations. In several nations this plan has already been approved and financed; in others it is still in an early stage. Behind the world leaders who are the accomplices and executors of this infernal project, there are unscrupulous characters who finance the World Economic Forum and Event 201, promoting their agenda.
The purpose of the Great Reset is the imposition of a health dictatorship aiming at the imposition of liberticidal measures, hidden behind tempting promises of ensuring a universal income and cancelling individual debt. The price of these concessions from the International Monetary Fund will be the renunciation of private property and adherence to a program of vaccination against Covid-19 and Covid-21 promoted by Bill Gates with the collaboration of the main pharmaceutical groups. Beyond the enormous economic interests that motivate the promoters of the Great Reset, the imposition of the vaccination will be accompanied by the requirement of a health passport and a digital ID, with the consequent contact tracing of the population of the entire world. Those who do not accept these measures will be confined in detention camps or placed under house arrest, and all their assets will be confiscated.
Rioting broke out in Philadelphia this week after a local criminal and hoodlum was shot by police after charging at them with a knife in what I would classify as a classic example of suicide by cop.
… maybe people would take a different view of the subject if they understood that Walter Wallace Jr. has been a violent menace to society his entire life. But the mainstream media won’t give you that kind of context, forcing you to read through a dozen or more paragraphs before they inform you that the lunatic who charged cops with a knife had an extensive criminal record. Would you like to see the suspect’s mug shot? How about 12 mug shots?
Under the auspices of the BLM scam, there are no caveats for blacks who are career criminals and dangerous lunatics. The fact that there are no stated exceptions underlines the Marxist stain that permeates this organization. But in a way it is accurate in the sense that no black person ever can be held responsible for their own actions.
An article titled Lessons from Church History: A Brief Review of Papal Lapses. This article is from 2018 and it is a republication after the original piece was pulled due to Marxist outrage.
This article has listed eleven immoral popes and ten popes who dabbled, to one degree or another, in heresy. There have been a total of 266 popes. If we do the math, we come out with 4.14% of the Successors of Peter who earned opprobrium for their moral behavior and 3.76% who deserve it for their dalliance with error. On the other hand, about 90 of the preconciliar popes are revered as saints or blesseds, which is 33.83%. We could debate about the numbers (have I been too lenient or too severe in my lists?), but is there anyone who fails to behold in these numbers the evident hand of Divine Providence? A monarchy of 266 incumbents lasting for 2,000 years that can boast failure and success rates like this is no mere human construct, operating by its own steam.
These numbers teach us two lessons. First, we learn a sense of wonder and gratitude before the evident miracle of the papacy. We learn trust in a Divine Providence that guides the Holy Church of God throughout the tempests of ages and makes it outlast even the relatively few bad papacies we have suffered for our testing or for our sins. Second, we learn discernment and realism. On the one hand, the Lord has led the vast majority of his vicars along the way of truth so that we can know that our confidence is well placed in the barque of Peter, steered by the hand of Peter. Yet the Lord has also permitted a small number of his vicars to falter or fail so we will see that they are not automatically righteous, effortlessly wise in governance, or a direct mouthpiece of God in teaching. The popes must freely choose to cooperate with the grace of their office, or they, too, can go off the rails; they can do a better or worse job of shepherding the flock, and once in a while, they can be wolves. This happens rarely, but it does happen by God’s permissive will, precisely so we do not abdicate our reason, outsource our faith, and sleepwalk into ruin. The papal record is remarkable enough to testify to a well-nigh miraculous otherworldly power holding at bay the forces of darkness, lest the “gates of hell” prevail; but the record is speckled just enough to make us wary, keep us on our toes. The advice “be sober, be vigilant” applies not only to interactions with the world “out there,” but to our life in the Church, for “our adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Pet 5:8), from the lowly pewsitter to the lofty hierarch.
Glenn Greenwald is a cuckservative who set up a news outlet called The Intercept, hired a bunch of SJWs to the editorial board, and then acted all surprised when they refused to publish one of his stories about why Joe Biden just might be crap. Greenwald has resigned because giving up is what cucks do best. Here is the article that his own company refused to run.
The publicly known facts, augmented by the recent emails, texts and on-the-record accounts, suggest serious sleaze by Joe Biden’s son Hunter in trying to peddle his influence with the Vice President for profit. But they also raise real questions about whether Joe Biden knew about and even himself engaged in a form of legalized corruption. Specifically, these newly revealed information suggest Biden was using his power to benefit his son’s business Ukrainian associates, and allowing his name to be traded on while Vice President for his son and brother to pursue business opportunities in China. These are questions which a minimally healthy press would want answered, not buried — regardless of how many similar or worse scandals the Trump family has.
But the real scandal that has been proven is not the former Vice President’s misconduct but that of his supporters and allies in the U.S. media. As Taibbi’s headline put it: “With the Hunter Biden Exposé, Suppression is a Bigger Scandal Than the Actual Story.”
The reality is the U.S. press has been planning for this moment for four years — cooking up justifications for refusing to report on newsworthy material that might help Donald Trump get re-elected. One major factor is the undeniable truth that journalists with national outlets based in New York, Washington and West Coast cities overwhelmingly not just favor Joe Biden but are desperate to see Donald Trump defeated.
Muh sanctity of the press.
“Economy of words” gems
Matt Taibbi at his site:
The least curious people in the country right now appear to be the credentialed news media, a situation normally unique to tinpot authoritarian societies.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò in his letter to Trump:
As is now clear, the one who occupies the Chair of Peter has betrayed his role from the very beginning in order to defend and promote the globalist ideology, supporting the agenda of the deep church, who chose him from its ranks.
Stacy McCain at The Other McCain:
Being convinced we are utterly doomed is a source of tranquility.
John Rivers on Gab:
meritocracies are for fags.
Vox Day at his site:
Multiculturalism isn’t just wrong, it is dyscivilizational evil. Which is why there will be no peace until the repatriations are complete.

Stuff you may want to think about
Weber introduced, or promoted the idea that Protestants have a certain work ethics thanks to the values imparted by their religion. The idea — like almost all of sociology — is marshmallow-soft. Consider the reverse: that Protestants at the time happened to have a certain culture, and other protestants were likely to embrace the culture of their peers because religion acted as an attractor for identities. For one can always find (thanks to the narrative fallacy) some stuff in a religion that confirms a given theory. Weber and the Weberians missed that the Industrial Revolution hit very early on northern France and Belgium (both extremely Catholic), while the Catholic South remained agricultural and socially conservative, so one can see with the naked eye that it cannot be about something proper to the theologies or the associated doctrines and practices. It is just that cultural norms are contagious within identities, and too mush so. Incidentally such cultural norms haven’t yet hit the Mediterranean since it skipped the industrial revolution. To any statistician, the “Protestant ethics” is a North-South marker, not a Protestant-Catholic one.
The American Mind – Don’t bother learning to code
How does a foreign national enter the United States through a visa designed for intracompany employee transfers? That’s where Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an outsourcing giant based in Mumbai, comes in.
TCS partners with companies like Siemens to find cheap labor abroad. As a consultant under the Siemens umbrella, TCS transfers them to the United States, where they replace Americans as employees of TCS, not actually Siemens. In some cases, after their American counterparts train them and exit the building, entire divisions, such as tech support, are exported abroad.
The whole process is parasitic. “These people don’t have a product,” says Emmons, “they just sell people.”
And the people-selling business is booming. Using data from the Commerce Department, the American author and academic Michael Lind found that between 1999 and 2009, U.S. multinational corporations cut 864,600 workers domestically while adding 2.9 million workers abroad. In 2018, TCS reached $100 billion market capitalization, making it the second Indian company to do so.
The Z Man – The Awakening
When Finnish nationalists get together every year to socialize and organize, they call their event The Awakening. It is a great term for them to use as it has multiple meanings in this context. One is the obvious awakening among Finns of their long dormant nation pride and identity. The other is the growing awareness of what globalism and multiculturalism means to them as a people. It can also mean the growing awareness of liberal democracy and what it is doing to the people.
The image of a man waking up or snapping out of a daze is a good one to use for all Western people, especially Americans. In the provinces of the Empire, there has always been a bit of skepticism about America, so they never fully succumbed to the narcotic effects of the American empire. In the heart of the empire, the combination of American mythology, civic nationalism and patriotic nostalgia have kept most Americans in a narcotic fog, unable to fully grasp what is happening to them.
Bulkejens on Gab
In the 1940s the Scandinavian countryside still had ice houses. The men would cut large blocks of ice from lakes in winter, drag them home on sleds, stack them high in the ice house, isolate with saw dust, and use it all for food refrigeration in the summer months.
Most farms still have buildings built from hand cut logs with hand made tools. I can still pull hand forged nails from log walls, forged one by one right here on the farm.
Our old cow barn has 6 ft granite walls, built with blocks broken by hand in the nearby mountainside. Wife’s uncle says 50 locals broke the blocks, transported them, and raised the barn together.
Our small village has a few farms, and all the important farm equipment was co-owned between the farms. We still have harvesting equipment taking up space in the barn that I can’t sell, because it’s not ours.
As recent as in the 1950s, kids had one week off school in the fall for “potato vacation”. Farm kids picked potatoes for the coming winter, and city kids got shipped into the countryside to help the farmers pick potatoes. Unpaid child labor, necessary for the nation’s survival.

Ortona, Italy September 1943
Gunner Ted Griffiths, Royal Canadian Artillery takes one last shot at advancing German tanks after the remnants of his gun crew retreated up the street. He was killed moments later by return fire from the German tanks. Ortona would become known as the Italian Stalingrad for the ferocity of the fighting.
